A downloadable game for Windows

Overtime is a short horror game with mystery elements. A year before the events of the game everyone at ARC research and development suddenly went missing, and none of the bodies were ever found. Locals believe that the government had something to do with the cover up.

Overtime was originally a 48 hour game jam project, but we decided to continue work on it. This is a prototype of our work to this point. Undecided if it'll go anywhere from here.

We do plan to implement controller support at some point.

love this game wow

REALLY FUN! however there is this really annoying bug. When you open a door at a certain angle it pushes you under the map, ergo forcing me to reset my progress.

Nice little game to play, the monster/alien had a basic look but was creepy enough to keep the player on edge. The keycode part could get annoying as I was circling the main area with the monster chasing me putting a digit or 2 in each pass before he gained on me, but I could see that tension also being a part of the design.

I liked main theme graphics and gameplay but there is a problem with grapping lights. They are always stuck in walls and I restarded all game a few times because of this of problem

Enjoyed ;)

I screamed... a lot... Like A LOT!

I honestly really enjoyed this game, it made me jump and had my adrenaline going. I was trying to be ready for anything coming around those corners/rooms lol. I LOVE the fact that u can interact with objects (I was playing with some lol) But overall I wish there were a full game of this. i'd so buy it! Keep up the good work!

Check out my game play!

Better late than never. Really enjoyed this! Very creepy atmosphere throughout the game that just keeps you on edge!

Hey guys check out my brand new video where i play Overtime you wont regret it PROMISE!!

This was a great game, I can't count the amount of times me and my girlfriend screamed. This game definitely needs a full release.

Definitely worth giving this demo a try - the puzzle elements are logical (something that's often lacking from these sorts of games) and the constant threat of the enemy keeps it from being too easy to solve. Really hope to see this develop into a full version as the basic premise and gameplay is a solid start

Enjoy the Played game! 재밌게 플레이 했어요 :)

Gave it a go...

Neat stuff. The story held my interest and the tension was maintained throughout, nice job.

Thank you :)

this demo was just amazing! loved it! :D really good job on creating this game!

Really glad you enjoyed it :) thanks for the video!

Did a playthrough of the game! Its got some good scares to it :D

Tense game! Check this video if you want to get an idea about the game and also for entertainment.

Thos was WAY too much fun, great job at atmousphere, awesome little story, and smoothgameplay. Overall great time!

Hey, loved the game. The atmosphere was great creating a few good jumpscares, keep up the good work.

The atmosphere of this game made the character scary and scared me alot throughout this demo I enjoyed this game !!!

Super glad the game's atmosphere showed through lol thanks for playing!

I honestly couldn't believe how immersed I was in this game but I truly was! Fantastic experience but sadly..... I didn't finish the game :(

But here's my cool playthrough! Let me know what you think.

Really glad to hear the game had you immersed, that's the sort of thing we were aiming for. Thank you for playing :)

I found myself being scared by a character that wouldn't ever be scary in other situations. The atmosphere of this game and its utilization of suspense kept me on the edge of my seat trying to guess when the antagonisticly demonic character would hunt me down and end my life! That and the way they break the mold within the game by allowing you to...well, I'm not one for spoilers so spoiler alert it's in the video below. If you care to see what kind of things I found during my experience with the game, enjoy!

lol loving all the images of the character. None of us are character modelers and it was a big challenge! I'm suprised it scared anyone. Thanks for playing!

This game managed to really scare me, maybe it was just the rush to the vents, but it was absolutely terrifying! Loved the puzzle for the end door as well!

Glad you enjoyed the puzzle! Thanks for playing.

Its not resident evil 7 but this game really scared me. Coulndt get past the door with the passcode though so I watched the ending on youtube. Also, the glowsticks gets stuck in the walls. Other than that it was good

Thanks for giving our game a shot, should we continue with this game we will address a number of issues brought up by all these amazing Let's Plays including the glow stick issue!

Overtime was a fun and surprisingly scary indie horror game that I enjoyed playing!

The premise of the game is that you have to find your sister Jessica in an abandoned office space, all the while avoiding a creepy monster man.

Overtime offers a genuinely unsettling atmosphere, where plenty of little sounds and background noise keep you on the edge. There are PLENTY of jumpscares throughout the game and they are all pretty effective. The radio static that plays whenever the monster is close makes you freak out and the one puzzle in the game is challenging enough without being overly difficult.

Some drawbacks are that the game is pretty light on the story, the monster is pretty bland and sometimes the lights that you find somehow get stuck in the walls and burn out (there are plenty others to grab though). Seeing as how this is a demo, these negatives can be easily forgiven and can be fixed in a deeper, fully fleshed version of the game which I would definitely play.

Overall, I really enjoyed playing Overtime and I salute the developers for making a game that has potential to be made into something more. I made a Let's Play of Overtime so I hope you check it out and subscribe to the channel if you enjoyed!

We really appreciate your feedback! Those things you brought up are definitely the ones we had in mind to improve. Thanks for playing!

That's great to hear, thank you for making such an enjoyablke game and can't wait to see more from you!

This was awesome! I enjoyed this alot! https://youtu.be/DHMLi_yP6RM

Thanks for the vid :)

I really need to say this, KEEP GOING! I thought this was done fantastically. I loved every bit of my playthrough. I love the way the game looks, the scares were great and I was interested to see where you went with the story. I thought the story was a bit too similar to the story of Human but I still liked it none the less. I really hope you continue because of how well done this was.

Loved the video man! Thank you for the kind words!

Wish it was longer, and I complained about that, but I shouldnt since its just a demo afterall. This could be something really cool though. Hope my video entertains you as your game entertained me.

(1 edit)

Looks promising so far.The first encounter with the monster is very jumpy! I rate it 3.5/5(I will give it 4.5/5 if the optimization issues in some certain areas are solved).Nicely done DEV.

Very creepy game, hope to see more of this.

Thank you for playing, and thank you for sharing your video with us!
